About

After my mom's passing, I embarked on a quest to uncover stories of the two generations of women that come before me. I found not only heroes in those stories but discovered much more than I imagined.

Through the interviews, countless hours of research, old handwritten letters, and the help of many. I have met brave souls who have lived in a time of hardship, persecution, and oppression by their country’s leaders. In the midst of it all, they have drawn closer to their faith. Their stories not only inspired me but offered me hope and a fresh perspective.

Today, I am putting those stories in book form for the world to be encouraged.

“Svetka's story of the life of her grandmother reinforces the important history of the Nazi labor camps as well as the Soviet gulags during WW2 and the Cold War.  The presentation was made alive and poignant by Svetka's touching personal story which is upended by the letter from her grandmother. The students were fascinated by Svetka's presentation.  Her warm and genuine style drew them in!”
